Saving the last Pacific salmon runs

At TEDxPortland, Guidho Rahr explains how pervasive farming and logging around coastal rivers threaten these salmon, and all wildlife as a consequence. Rahr urges us to join the international campaign for strongholds -- a network of protected rivers that will ensure the last great salmon runs continue forever.

Guido Rahr is the president and chief executive of the Wild Salmon Center, where he works to help protect wild salmon habitats in the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia, Alaska, Russia and Japan.
