Dear Chum

Please declare Moldy Chum a safe haven from this idiot and his character "Hank Patterson"
(unless you are comparing him to Landon "Dbag" Meyer. I think you owe us that much.
Would love more about his gay companion of many years, Rhys.
I guess ice out is a perfect fit for Hank, plenty of guides just like him will be in attendance.

Thanks

Nacho

I'll be happy to buy Hank a beer at Ice Out. I appreciate another angler out there that takes this past time for what it is supposed to be: FUN. This "sport" has become too stuffy and pretentious as competitive haters like Nacho need to reinforce their machismo. Yes Nacho, plenty of guides just like him will be in attendance. Lots of smiles and laughs. Lighten-up haters.

You do realize that not all guides are egotistical D-bags right? The Ice-Off event is more of a social gathering before things get going for the season, and personally, I like Hanks satire. It puts this sport in perspective, and some of his stuff is pretty funny. More importantly, it makes self-entitled "uber"-guides (such as Landon Meyer, for example) out to be what they really are: Not good for the sport. There are many guides out there who understand what their role REALLY is: To be a steward of the resource, to be a teacher of how to fish in a way that doesn't negatively impact other anglers and the resource, and to make a day of fishing FUN for their clients. In short-put your pride in the trunk and just accept that we all share the water.

STOP THE SIMMS SHOP!

If you have to go to Ice Out ask questions, LOTS of questions???!!!

Especially this one: What good is a company that brags it employs 120 locals; when it's business practices continue to risk the livelihoods of hudreds of others?

swinging momba makes a great point about being a steward of their local waters....we all see too many guides who just want a check......rip lips....and then another check........part of being a knowladgable guide is educating your clients about the watershed they are in and the issues surrounding the health of that watershed, and what can be done to help it.......then the next time they are out they might ask you how the progress is or better yet tell the guide what they are doing to help......lets all have fun and help the water be healthy....not just cash in and brag how many trips are being done......there is way too much bullshit in the mix .........................................i wana fish with that guy...he is keeping the dream alive

Simms is originally a Jackson Hole company. They moved to Montana close to twenty years a go?? They build good waders. However, the way they have hot spotted Bozeman Montana is appalling. In addition to playing the Bozeman card to increase sales they have hurt a lot of the mom and pop flyshops across southwest Montana. Hank Paterson is perfect for Simms and Simms is perfect for Hank Paterson.
