An incredibly important action alert regarding a Continuing Resolution amendment sponsored by John McCain that strikes funding for Pacific Coast salmon recovery. McCain's amendment will slash $65 million in badly needed funding for salmon and steelhead restoration.

It is critical you call your Senator's office ASAP and strongly urge them to oppose the McCain amendment. The Senate general phone number is 202-224-3121, ask for your Senators’ offices one at a time.

The sooner you reach out the better, the Senate will wrap up their work on the C&R tomorrow.

Thanks for posting this! The McCain Amendment would leave a lot of important restoration projects -- along with the restoration and commercial/sport fishing jobs they create -- dead in the water.

It's worth a few minutes to protect them.
