Oil - Gas - Holy Waters
Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 12:05AM A recent state land auction may allow for significant oil and gas development near the Au Sable River. Needless to say those that care about the health of the Au Sable and her holy waters are deeply concerned and you should be too.

it is happening everywhere....such a shame. people need to start taking action.
This hasn't been very well publicised. i saw a note on midcurrent and now here, but given the tight timeframe, its going to be hard to get a decent number of responders. A number of people I know who live in or around the area DID NOT KNOW!!! I was lucky enough to fish the AuSable and Manistee in 2010 know the worth of this area.
The biggest shame is that the most outspoken folks against oil and gas progress are the most uninformed about it. Please tell us what exactly you want to take action against.
