Grass Carp Found Near Lake Erie

Federal and state officials recently announced that a breeding population of grass carp has been found for the first time within the Great Lakes watershed, in a tributary of Lake Erie.

Lawmakers say this is further proof for the need to close the Chicago shipping locks.

Grass Carp are not the only issue down at the local lake.
