Richard, Snorkeling is just another senseless pursuit that's highly enjoyable. In the summer/ fall this pool is chock full of Chinook, Steelhead, Coho, Rainbow, Bull Trout, Whitefish, Suckers and Sculpin and in a the right years thousands of Sockeye pass through on the way to Lake Wenatchee. Swimming with salmon is pretty cool, you should try it.
