Operation Striper Swiper
![Date Date](/universal/images/transparent.png)
Operation Striper Swiper is an ongoing mission for the Coast Guard along the mid-Atlantic coast.
“The goal is to enforce the striper regulations,” said Master Chief Petty Officer Stephen Atchley, the officer-in-charge of Shearwater. “Depending on the time of year, there are a lot of striped bass here in the bay that fishermen catch. It’s at the point where [the striped bass] move off shore to do their breeding, that is what we are trying to protect. To give them a chance to survive.”

Very cool, I'm in the Coast Guard currently and just spent 4 years in New Jersey. It's nice to spotlight the Living Marine Resource mission part of the coast guard, an area alot of people don't know that we do. Semper Paratus!
Welllll.....the best way to enforce the regs would be a burst from the MaDeuce at the waterline...then go burn the fish meall factory....just a suggestion...
Good Stuff but rockfish do not move off shore to breed. By def they breed in freshwater rivers.
