Manhattan Fly - A Day Offshore
Friday, August 10, 2012 at 12:00AM
This was shot one day 60 miles off Manhattan. The boat Manhattan Fly is owned and operated by Captain Chris Hessert, along with his mate Chris Clackner. We left Jersey City at 4am on a glassy Hudson River. After a couple hour boat ride on an also surprisingly smooth Atlantic ocean we trolled for tuna in the "Canyons" area. We were successful in hooking some nice Atlantic Bluefin tuna. We went 6 for 6 (five released one 35" kept) all on spreaders, trolled a fly on a 14 wt fly rod all day but no hits.

Did those jackasses gaff that first fish and then release it because it was too small? It was bleeding like a stuck pig.
go around name calling when you dont know what your talking about?....GFY
go on his fbook page for the bloodletting
And anonymous too.....really? call people names and bash them and go hide....haha....L-O-S-E-R.
1 legal fish was harvested...5 released, if you ever caught a tuna (which you havent). You would know weather on a fly or a lure they bleed, period. While you hiding, I suggest you grow a pair....
