From the updates section:
An answer from the directors to one of the backers asking why a 900lb marlin was gaffed and brought into the boat.
"Almost all of the fish that James paints are killed -- it's a necessary evil, in this particular instance death for art (although the fish was donated to the local community for food). That is likely to make some people uncomfortable; the tension will be part of the film."
They just lost my support.
