Lee it’s too bad you didn’t have any one with you to take that picture; it is a good picture considering the fact that you obviously had your hands full. I can’t believe all the people bashing you with that fish. It is funny to me how people know about that spot and it’s too bad that one person’s mouth is going to ruin a place that actually holds a number of big fish and why don’t I see other people in that spot with big fish like that. Lee, I would love to fish with you someday and learn where you get these pigs and the skills that you have acquired from years of hard work. Don’t let these water slappin posers get to you!!!
Hey everyone, or most everyone, thanks for the support. This fish meant a lot to me as I spent countless hours presenting flies with nothing to show for. Finally bam, bending the hook nearly straight. John Barr, thanks for making your presence known this awesome late winter day! Thanks Moldy I never knew how many haters were out there until now! I looked at some of the other posts so I feel like I'm in good company. You know what they say about enemies keep them as close, if not closer, than friends. I was glad to see that no one hacked on that older guy with a monster brown from the White River or the young kid with the big cutty. Those are awesome fish! It was encouraging that at least fly fishers respect their elders and young people if there not going to respect their peers. Taught spring lines everyone!
I have had the great opportunity to fish with this gentleman, and can tell you all... he is nothing but genuine, loves the sport, is a great friend, and a strong supporter of his native fisheries.
The guy has a knack for catching big fish! He can catch big fish on waters that he has NEVER fished before!
It was a pleasure to fish with him!
Lee.... forget the haters... keep the pics coming... us who really appreciate the fact that 1) you finally caught this beauty that you have been chasing for a long time, and 2) the effort that was put forth to photograph this fish ON YOUR OWN with no help, just you, the fish, a camera and tripod, is very much appreciated!
