That fly is totally not as big as this picture makes it look. Do you see how he's holding his arms out toward the camera, and I think that's a fish-eye lens....
yah, no nothing fake on this one... i have seen 'big pike flies' at the GreatWaters tying, and remember, that yak hair out of package is well over 12". The only thing i would be worried about it short stikes, toss another hook way in the back... now your talking!

def "fake" that would make the flash 1/4 '' thick. his hand is well below that fly.
