Seriously? This is bobber fishing on a lake. Wtf?

January 9, 2012 | Unregistered Commentertroutstream

Thanks again Moldy Chum!

January 9, 2012 | Unregistered Commenterwait4it

@troutstream, are you seriously that new to strike indicators and the technique of "still suspending" chironomids or 'midges' in stillwaters? Yikes, get a passport.

January 10, 2012 | Unregistered Commenterwait4it

The music made me shoot myself in the head. Twice, just to make sure I got it all.

Like watching paint dry. Show me some more chest cam islander action, oooh yah. Gangster bobber fishing, jaysus. BC is a wasteland for angling. And I'm a BC'er

couple things:

1. How many false casts does it take to throw 40 ft.. seriously bro
2. A strike indicator is a bobber.. don't get all butthurt... it is what it is
3. Bobber fishing just isn't that cool..
4. your "no-nail knot knot" is called a Uni knot.. just sayin..
5. Nice truck

thats about it..

Nope, I just like to say 'bobber' and I already have a passport.

chironamid fishing is a really fun way to fish lakes.......Douchers like to hate on bobbers/strike indies but that horse has been dead for a LONG time but people who have nothing better to do and probly havnt wet a line in 5 months continue to beat it up on the web cause they dont know any better.....Interior BC has some amazing lakes to chironamid.. these fish are small considering where dudes fishing but whatever......Guys like mad mike and troutstream are just closed minded and lack the ability to become well rounded fly anglers from swinging tips or dry lines for steelhead to nymphing beads, yarnies or bugs to steelhead or trout.......throwing streamers or dry flies in lakes and rivers, chuging poppers for largemouth in a lake or in a river for taimen, casting across a flat to some happy tarpoon, ITS ALL FLY FISHING get over yourselves.........Some of the best Steelheaders in BC take a break from chasing one of the most exciting gamefish in the world to chironamid bcs interior lakes......

I thought it was a respectable video, its great for people who are new to fly fishing who have never seen a uni knot, wild horses or attempted to take their sig. other fly fishing. Might not be my taste in music but you don't have to bash the guy. He's not making the video for you obviously, but moldy thought it was good enough to post. Took my mind of off work for 5 min. If he likes to bobber fish than that is his thing, go ahead, it catches fish and that is what he likes to do.

1) Well said NWSteelheader & J Ras, nailed it.

2) MaineMan, you're just mad that your favorite Clay Aiken song wasn't the soundtrack.

3) Wait4it clearly wins this argument. TKO. This shit is too funny. More videos please.

Cool video; i though it was well done. Let the haters hate. Why don't the haters make their own video, post it and let more hate mongers join in?! But really where is YOUR work to say that your a film critic or fly angling critic?! Just an idea. I have more respect for an angler that can go and fish an area effectively whether they are an egg man, indi fisherman, swinger, etc etc... being able to unitize what we have for tactics, being innovative and understand how to use them along with being effective at all of them makes an angler in my mind.
~Wait4it- Keep up the good work, posting, rippin fish face, and 'wasting minutes of our lives,'
don't stop, don't change.
