If it's just about catching fish, leave you skagit line on go do bass pro pick up a Abu Garcia 6500 and dink float stick.
This is just embarrassing, and that dude is not a fly fisherman

Put a spinning reel on it and big eye guides. It's called a surf rod.

Is it the worm weight or the lack of the skagit? I think Scott Howell ( Skagit Master ) uses the intruder with worm weights.
What if Rio would come out with a line and call it a mono level line ?
I'll bet you could come up with a way to cast it somewhat like a skagit cast. Maybe just a few feet outside the tip.

I'm not intrested in trying it, I'm just saying....

I think it's brilliant. skagit is for pussies, real men only need mono... and maybe a weighter treble hook. Jerk that shit on the way back in.

There is a possibility he's mocking Scott Howell. IF he is, it's a great video. If not, well......

Idiots.

Gee, I have been fishing this way for close to 10 years and never knew I was an idiot. All the time I thought I was a fisherman. Every state fish and game considers it fly fishing. Get off your high horses and let people enjoy the outdoors in any way they wish.
