I found myself wondering throughout the movie if I would be enjoying it more or less had I not read the book at least three or four times
Tom over at The Drake recently posted a review of the movie.

This movie is awful!!!!!!!!
Harsh. It's not a blockbuster type film, but so what. I found it to be a good watch - well done. Nice pace, good acting, amazing scenery. Makes you want to grab your rod and head out to the nearest river!
My question would be: Why did you steal this movie from the man who wrote it (and has therefore decided to nix his own version that would have been used as a vehicle to advocate for wild salmon in the PNW)? David James Duncan wrote the story and was screwed into having his work turned into a movie by people without a right to it.
