Fail. There is no rod in the picture, the kayak's way too level for a monster like that, and finally, there is no way a dainty sweetie like that is hauling up a 200 pound poon. Not to be sexist, just sayin' - my wife would scream like she saw a spider looking at that meat slab in the boat.
Well, it's not photoshopped. But there is a little something funny going on here klew. Like...umm...where's the line going off to so tight? I've enhanced it here: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5064/5598936632_481f9a5de7_o.jpg
I don't see a rod and if I did see one in the kayak with you, it'd have to have a pretty tight bend in it to have this taught of a line, no? Looks like the line is going off the picture to another angler/boat/fish market?
she's picking that thing up like it weighs 5lbs. when my dog tries to sit on the gunwhales of my canoe we almost tip over, but a 150lb+ tarpoon on the side of a kayak and no tilt at all? anyone want ot buy a beautiful bridge i have for sale?
I think the line is going off the the left, as it is wrapped around the girl in the photo. The rod appears to be laying on the floor of the kayak with the tip of the rod towards the bow of the boat.
BTW, I do think she caught a tarpon- just not that one that she is holding...
Not photo shopped if you would observe someone is holding the pole for her in another kayak heres another picture. http://www.thehulltruth.com/attachments/sportfishing-charters-forum/165993d1302042178-big-tarpon-200036_201086546581296_115685871788031_581997_6708829_n.jpg http://www.thehulltruth.com/attachments/sportfishing-charters-forum/165992d1302042178-big-tarpon-196936_201086583247959_115685871788031_581999_3212816_n.jpg look at the back of the kayak you can see the line going out of screen defiantley not photoshop totally legit.
I have a few question before I buy into this chickie catching this poon.
her legs would look more stress to stabalize and support the weight. Her face looks like she just steepped out of the mall. I think someone else caught this fish and its 3/4 dead and they left her grab this shot.. This is 20sec before the 14ft hammerhead came screamming by for a free tarpon lunch... She didn't catch that fish...and b the looks of it the fish died.

So you want to hitch hike... to France. I can't help you but heres this flyrod...
Hooked in the Keys, landed in Chile.
Shopped....kayak's sitting just a little too level in the water considering all that (presumed) weight on the side...
Nope, not photoshop...thanks for posting my pic on your blog though :)
Soooo where's the rod?
I see nothing that would indicate anything suspicious. Plenty of tarpon have been caught from kayaks...
Yikes... she's stronger than me!
After watching all the videos of sharks eating Tarpon at the boat, I would be scared to shit of doing that!
Crazy women!

Haters be hatin'. Dime-store Oliver Stones: admit your jealousies and the fact that this fish was caught.
