Glad she was a big one............all joking aside...nice work on no. 500.
who cares? seriously. and why are they counting every damn fish. to brag about it? take this b.s. elsewhere
mt,
Take YOUR bs elsewhere.
I'll let you in on a little secret called "marketing." See, these people earn a living by guiding clients and they have competitors all over the caribbean, so they need to get the word out about their successes to help promote future business. It's a complex concept, I know, but believe me - it works.
Have you ever been to Punta Allen? Not much of an economy down there if people aren't catching either fish or lobster. With all of the negative press about the Mexican drug cartels, the guides in the Yucatan are doing whatever they can to keep their heads above water. God forbid they should try to offset all the negative press with announcing a huge milestone anyone should be proud of. Sorry they interrupted your internet surfing with their attempt to earn a living. 500 permit? That's outstanding. Are you up to 500 permit yet?
People in America don't understand the drug violence is hundreds of miles away from the lower Yucatan in the border towns and parts of the Pacific coast. I fished Ascension Bay in February - the fishing was phenomenal and there was zero evidence of any violence in that portion of the country. The Mexican people in the Punta Allen/Ascension Bay area are typically very poor by US standards, but they some of the happiest, most genuine people you will ever meet.
CONGRATULATIONS PALOMETA CLUB!!!
