I don't understand how Mark and Aaron's approach is any different from any others, except maybe the egos that allow you to assume you are doing something different than ALL the steelheaders that have come before and will come after. damn, lots of haters out there. i thought it was kinda cool, everybody has something to say about people that do vids but you should all realize how much work goes into something like this. where are these guys from, anyone know?
Yos—not haters, just calling a spade a spade. Work has nothing to do with it, and it doesn’t matter where they’re from. People work hard at things all the time, from all over the world, and turn out crap. Don’t believe me? Go see a Kevin Costner film. He busted his hump, but they’re just awful.
I judged the final product because that’s what they’re presenting, and in my opinion, and apparently the opinion of others, it just doesn’t measure up. It’s nothing more than a series of self-gratuitous clips of two anglers in action. How is that entertaining or engaging? I realize it’s only a clip, but it’s obvious they created the film because they’re in love with the reflection in the mirror and felt the need to promote some new white douchebag sunglass frames from Oakley.
Wow,,, I'm impressed with all the haters... You'd figure people would be stoked with good video of awesome locations, with hosts who are enthusiastic to make their lives about fishing.
@Boring,,, Would you rather we catch no fish for the show?,,,, Conditions change,, and you have to be fluid in order to adapt to the situations you're handed. Do you have something against Mark and Aaron Personally?,, Would you do a better job?,, Please call me,,, I may have a hosting opportunity for you if you can do better...
We shot this in 3 days on the Oregon Coast. There was no "Trust Fund" behind it, I do this for a living. It was just 3 like minded people coming together and making their vision a reality. All this was supposed to be is a teaser. The full length show is still in production.

You drive around and fish for a living? You get paid to do just that? Incredible. Income must be amazing to afford those ridiculous white sungalsses. I'm not sure what your "vision" was, but to me, it seems like you're just trying to turn fancy home movies into a show. Why would i want to watch anyone just drive around and fish? There's no stroy to that. It's boring. Revisit and let us know when the show airs so I'm sure NOT to set my DVR.
Almost forgot, 1,000 views is nothing, so I don't know why you're so grateful. If this thread is any indication of the overall opinion, that's nearly 1,000 views by people who didn't care for it. Congratulations!
