Delkin WingmanHD

While GoPro dominates much of the action camera category Delkin has a new offering with features that stack up well to the GoPro including a built in LCD screen.

Delkin has launched the WingmanHD Waterproof 3-Ounce Action Camera, which is billed as the lightest action camera in the world. Equipped with a 150-degree ultra-wide angle lens, 1.5-inch LCD screen and a universal mounting system, the camera captures 8-megapixel stills and 1080p full HD videos.

The WingmanHD includes an impact resistant waterproof case that can be submerged down to 30 meters, an 8GB microSD memory card, a rechargeable battery that provides 2.5 hours of recording time, a helmet mount, vented helmet mount and handlebar mount, a wall and auto charger, a power and data USB cable, a component cable, a wrist strap and a User Guide.

The Wingman is available for immediate purchase through licensed Delkin retailers for $249.99.

Bought one of these to give it a try. Not nearly as well thought out as the Go Pro. All functions except recording are locked inside the housing and the housing has to be opened to power on, view/delete recordings or any other adjustments. So if you are in a humid place and there is potential for water to get in the housing when it's open, it will be foggy once it's closed. The housing also doesn't seem to be nearly as adaptable as all the offerings from GoPro. Comes with three wrist straps but no place in the housing to use the wrist straps.
