Flies as Art

Paul Whillock's flies were once impounded by US Customs after they believed them to be real insects. In his book “Flies as Art” Whillock provides extensive details on how to tie his “Art Flies” and also his “Realistic fishing flies“.

Those flies are insanely realistic but I wouldn't call that "art".
"Art" is something different than making insanely realistic copies.

Hey "holy crap but" is art not just insanely realistic copies of real life? i.e. paintings-pictures statues-people animals things. This is definitely art and very great art too!
