Bull By the Horns

This may or may not be old news by now.  Regardless, I felt the story merits 5 seconds of our time.

"The bull would stick his head under water and surface again and didn't seem to mind Jeff's presence. Odd behavior for this time of year for sure! Jeff was enjoying this site and relishing the moment, until one of the bull's dunks seemed to take too long. Curious, Jeff paddled over to the bull which had now been submerged for a very long time."  Read on at Ernie's House of Whoopass

Very bizarre, but definitely a tale to share with your buddies. I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw the photos and the story behind it.

True dat, Paul Kim. It is amazing, these days, when everyone has a camera at the ready to capture a sequence of events to go with them recounting the story. How many times this story plays out in every forest without witness. Tragic, drawn-out and sad last weeks to a magnificent animal, but just another day as the world turns.
Odd, though, him not putting in just a little more effort digging enough to bury the whole elk. Leaving just the head sticking up out of the ground like that. Strange sense of humor.
Fly fisherman are an odd bunch.
