Chum-
Fished the LA Marsh this weekend out of the Port Sulphur area. Our guide Kirby LaCour poled back up into a stiff wind so I could have a shot at this 41# monster black drum. Even though the sun was sparse and the wind was up these guys tails could be seen from 200' out. The reds were slow but the blackees were partying. This was the largest of 5 blacks we caught ranging from 22# to 41#. The weather was windy and cool but we still had a great time.

awesome fish....I had a similar experience last year near Dulac....5 blacks 27-37....the reds went away and the big drums tailed everywhere..........maybe one of the most under rated fish around....congratulations!!
Is the towel to protect the angler or the fish?
SLAB IF THE MONTH!
Start catching monsters like that and it's a case of "once you go black you'll never go back!" Awesome Fish!
