State Biologists Euthanize Five More California Sea Lions

California sea lions were as scarce as spring chinook salmon in the area just below the lower Columbia River's Bonneville Dam after state biologists captured seven of the big creatures and removed five of them.

Seal flipper pie! I'll eat it and enjoy it! I also look pretty sharp in seal skin slippers! I think we should start a seal hunting season on the east coast also!!!

They have been a real problem, they've even tried to relocate them but them keep coming back. Those bastards even get into the fish ladders and just have a feast. I'm glad they are finally starting to do this, it's about time. I've even heard of people hooking up with fish then a big tug and they reel in a salmon head.

Huh, I've lived in California for thirty years (all my life) and I never knew the Columbia flowed through our state. CRAZY! I guess it's always been over shadowed by the Sacramento River.....

Kill them all. They are SEA lions, not river lions.

or get rid of the dam, the real issue. I can't blame the sea lions for capitalizing on a man made problem. That's a real nice all-you-can-eat salmon buffet we've created for them. The dams we built are a major cause of the decline of pacific salmon.
