2010 Troutfest

Troutfest is a Fly Fishing Exposition and Fundraiser held in Townsend, Tennessee in the Great Smoky Mountains. Proceeds from this event are donated to Great Smoky Mountains National Park Fisheries Department, Friends of the Smokies Fisheries Scholarship Endowment or other youth educational conservation projects. The Little River Chapter of Trout Unlimited sponsors this event as our major fundraiser and annual festival. I've been every year and it's a great event. It's a worthy cause and their efforts pay off. Each year it gets bigger and the food, music and booths are great. Lefty Kreh, Bob Clouser, etc., tying flys and giving casting demonstrations. Outstanding! If you can make it, do the banquet on Friday night. The door prizes and the auctions are amazing. The Smoky Mountains are beautiful and you can catch some wild Appalachian Brook Trout while you're there.
