My politics are obviously not as monochramatic as yours are.
To be quite honest I would rather make one off comments on the fail-bots of the Obama administration than engage in a political arguement I am sure we have both had a number of times.
I love the environment and our watersheds in particular, but I love my economic freedom, intellectual freedom and faculties of self determination more.

I'm glad you think its funny because thats the way I meant it but with a small bit of truth to it. I wonder how much money was raised, or will be raised by having Cheney there? Do you know? Does moldy chum know? There are 3 fly fishing meuseums in the country that I know about. The AMFF in Vermont, the one in Roscoe N.Y. and another one in Livinston Mt. All of them beg and scrape for money and I'd be willing to bet that the other 2 would be happy to have him there to raise money for them. So who's business is it who is invited for their benefit. The point is that he's a prominent figue whether you agree with the politics or not because it benefits them. Or else he wouldn't have been there in the first place.
You'd think moldy chum would mind their own business when it comes to a non prifit fishing organization trying to benefit itself. After all thats what they do here, isn't it? Make money on their "brand" by selling stickers, shirts, hats, movies , fishing trips and selling advertising space on their web site. Do you think they'd be bitching about it if Carter went there instead of Cheney. or Bush #1. Both of them are fly fishers
Oh yeah, I did take marketing 101 as a prerequisite for a finance dgree and I slept through it because it was total bullshit. Marketing is for digbat women and gay men who aren't smart enough for a real business degree

If you claim to love your personal liberties and economic freedom so much, then you must have been hating life during the last administration.
The previous administration didn't give you more civil liberties- they actually took them away.
The current administration's tax cuts in the first three weeks were greater than the previous administration's tax cuts in the first three years combined.

And so I dont sound as if I am defending Bush where he doesn't deserve it, the first bailout was bullshit. But, what Obama has done in his first 9 months will haunt him for the rest of his presidency and beyond.

If you think that public libraries book policies were the only civil liberties that were taken away by the previous administration then you have either forgotten already or you haven't been keeping up with current events.
Perhaps if you could pull your head out of the former vp's posterior, you would realize that the previous administration took office with one of the strongest economies in US history and then plunged us into the mess we are in now within several short years.
I'm not sure what you are referring to with your bizarre money lending analogy, but the last time I checked its called "interest" and its what financial institutions charge when they lend money.

A: intrest is charged withn the confines of money borrowing/lending. Feigning to give a tax break (a fraudulent one to millions of people who don't even pay taxes) and then taking it back in the form of the expiration of existing tax credits and the biggest expansion of government since.....well i think you get my point. Once the bills for everything he is doing come due that ideological ejaculate you've been guzzlin won't taste so good.
B: Yes Bush plunged us into this mess....not 2 decades of living on borrowed money, forcing companies to make bad loans, or dismantleing a regulatory framework that worked well for decades. Partisan politics suck.. and for a lot of reasons, but mostly because nobody is right 100% of the time.
Personally I think Dick is a DICK. Maybe its because I watched him sleeping in his drift boat while his guide was standing in the fast water waiting for him to wake up and perhaps make a cast. His sleep-a-thon cost both US and Canadian tax payers millions of dollars. The guy is a POSER when it comes to fishing and my political views being what they are take all that in to consideration.
All and all I'd say the "Dick" deserves every punch in the face he receives. I mean its not like anybody shot him in the face, nor has any of his children been killed overseas. He's become rich on "Oil", but I don't hold that against him.. Mostly I dislike hm because he is a wad. He's not my fly fishing hero and I'd never support an effort he was behind. But I realize that half the Americans like him and the other half don't, so perhaps he raises some money. If you were to do a World poll, I'd guess he'd score somewhere around 3% in popularity.
But mostly I just think he's a cock.
