This is a fun-filled gathering of saltwater fly anglers, guides, industry leaders and celebrities from around the country. Enjoy a day of fly-fishing fun on the banks of the Mississippi River at Woodland Plantation with Uptown Angler & friends!!!

Steve Straq and I attended last year, and we were fortunate to fish one day before the actual picnic. Our guide, Bryan Carter, put us on an incredible day of redfishing. We boated so many 8lb. to 10lb. fish that we lost count. The picnic last year was filled with great information from fly tying to casting all the latest new rods etc. As you can see there will be plenty more of the same this year. Some great people from Texas will also be there to show what we have to offer from my home waters. I will be there again trying out a couple of new secret weapons from Patagonia and presenting the fishing products that Patagonia will be introducing for Spring 2008. I don't know what I am looking forward to more, the fishing, the programs or the great Louisiana food.
