The Fight to Save River Access Rights - Action Needed!

Snapz_pro_xscreensnapz002
Chandler at The Trout Underground has blown the lid off the Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors plan to declare the Upper Sacramento, McCloud, Shasta and Scott Rivers as, "Non-Navigable. If this plan were to be approved, fisherman would lose their rights to wade these rivers between the high water marks.

Please take a moment to read the details on The Underground, link below, and how you can help take the fight to the Siskiyou Board. Your actions can will help preserve river access on these waters for our friends in California and future generations of anglers. If we allow these actions to limit historical access it hurts all anglers by setting precedents that can be used by other unscrupulous local governments.

Thanks Moldy! This battle has consumed a lot of my time the last couple weeks, but it the response from my readers and the rest of blogosphere has been amazing.

Good things appear to be happening, so while polite e-mails to the supervisors are still needed, we're all kind of holding our breath until next Tuesday...
