Great Smoky Brookie

Greatsmokeybrookie_2

Coming from the Great Smoky National Park, Mark Dickinson's brookie may as well have been 10 lbs.

Any more info on this fish? Is it from the park proper? Stream name might be too much to ask...

What you see is what we got - sorry no G2 on the stream (although Mark may chime in with more detail).

Very nice fish. 10 lbs would be stretching it I believe. Closer to 6 I'd say. STILL...A VERY nice "Speck".

Here are some big clues as to the location: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9171401@N02/sets/72157602225521443/

Also, check out the normal size brookies we were catching for comparison...

And the comments explode on Moldy Chum...

Impressive brookie from that area. I've seen some nice browns in Deep Creek towards the trail head, but no brookies like that. Fished it last March when it was coming out of its banks like chocolate milk from my nose. A bit lower now I imagine.

Thanks for the link to the pics.
