2013 Inamori Ethics Prize

Presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated exemplary ethical leadership, the Inamori Ethics Prize has been honoring international ethics leaders, whose actions and influence have helped change the world, since 2008.

This year's winner is Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard who will accept the prize and deliver a public lecture at Case Western University on September 12th.

The book is held in such high regard by anglers that is still being published today

An incredibly rare 170-year-old book credited with transforming fishing from a gentleman’s hobby into a nationwide phenomenon has emerged for sale.

The 48-page folio was published by tackle dealer William Blacker in 1842 and went on to become one of the most definitive guides to fly fishing.

The Last Days of Stealhead Joe 

If I never have to read another one of Outside Magazine's annual rundowns of best places to live it won't be too soon, Park City won this year by the way.

Then they win me back by putting out a piece like this by Ian Frazier. I hear Park City is beautiful this time of year.

The Deschutes River fly-fishing guide called Stealhead Joe was an angling master with a long list of devoted clients. But as Ian Frazier, who fished with Joe last fall, learned, off the water, Joe’s life was a tangle of troubles that ultimately overwhelmed him.
