Low Flows & Wild Steelhead

Follow River Steward Doug DeRoy as he walks through his recent work to protect threatened wild steelhead during low flows on California's Mendocino and Sonoma Coast. Working with local stakeholders, anglers, the National Marine Fisheries Service and California Department of Fish and Wildlife Doug helped improve the low-flow closure trigger on these coastal streams to provide protection for threatened wild steelhead during low flows, while still allowing for angling opportunity.

3rd Annual Palometa Club Permit Tourney Report

The Palometa Club recently hosted its namesake 3^rd Annual Permit Tournament, April 10-17. The Palometa Club once again teamed up with Patagonia and Hatch Reels as the lead sponsors for the annual event to benefit the Jon Ain Fund at Bonefish Tarpon Trust as well as the schoolchildren of Punta Allen, Mexico. The event raised over $6000 in charitable proceeds from the entry fees, calcutta, and individual donations!
