The set-up of the Wader Inflator is simple: The waders are harnessed by a clamp at the upper end to seal them; then a vacuum is attached to the inside of the waders to blow air in. Once the waders are filled up with air, a fisherman can spray water on them — front, back sideways — to see where the leak is. Lefgren usually uses chalk to mark the spot and then uses a special UV glue to seal the hole.
