The Hoopa Vally Tribe have asked the Bureau of Reclamarition to release more water from the Trinity into the Klamath to prevent another possible salmon kill this fall.
The Trinity River is the Klamath's largest tributary, and water is often diverted from the river to farmers and residents of Southern California. After intervention by Dick Cheney in 2002, the diversion ordered led to a massive salmon kill on the Klamath. LINK (via: THe TImes-Standard)
