Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard of Kickstarter, the social funding platform for creative projects. I've already been sucked into the Kickstarter vortex on multiple occassions and already own three products that raised their initial funding via successful Kickstarter campaigns.

In addition to new product initiatives, artists, writers, and film makers also pitch for funding, so it was just a matter of time before the fly film community got in on the act. Ryan Davey, one of the original cast of the Trout Bum Diaries, has fired up a Kickstarter appeal for a proposed new film project called Bushlife: Documenting Life in the Alaska Bush.

Ryan is looking to raise 5K for some new camera equipment, we just went in for $50.
