Here are a few recent pics inside the Adirondack Park.  This is the Ausable river - yep, the same one Ray Bergman fished.

The good news: After Irene, Governor Cuomo green-lighted permitting for heavy machinery use. This would allow removal of hazardous materials from the river (propane tanks, cars etc.). It would also help re-establish major roadways.

The bad news:  Locals have taken advantage of the heavy machinery permitting, without hydrologist/environmental engineer input, and started "repairing" the river to avoid future flooding.

This ain't bueno.  Feel free to write Senator Betty Little if you’d like to weigh-in.
