Pirate and Sierra appreciated the Coastal route in lieu of I-5 - dogs + beach = goodness.

Once Mrs. Bun and I hit the hills, gnarly climbs were replaced by moderate hikes with plenty leg lifting and sniffing.

Rear Admiral Beard spent time chillin with me on one of my favorite little lakes.  This particular day delivered a damsel hatch of epic proportion - anything and everything I offered (including damsels) was ridiculed.

I did, however, sneak away for a day to get serious with Mr. Heron.  When he's not busy helping make sure the Fly Fishing Film Tour runs like a well oiled machine, he's completely dialed into the water in and around Tahoe.

The Bun fam decided to have fun with the navigation system on the way home and explore a bit - finding this sign on the Bear Camp Coastal road in southern Oregon.  Upon arrival at Gold Beach, OR, we came to find out it's the very same route that tragically delivered this nightmare a few years ago

All in all in was a good trip with four thumbs and eight paws up.  Good to be home to record setting Seattle heat.
